Mailbox Monday - November 12th

  1. The book about Thoreau gives me hope. I have a handout for my college students that lists information and I ask them if the information is common knowledge or if they'd have to cite it. Thoreau is on there and most of them have never heard of him. I tell them it's a generational difference. I think most people my age read Thoreau in school.

  5. Believe it or not, I've never read a Nelson DeMille book. I keep saying I will but maybe if I had one of his audio books it would be easier. Enjoy your new titles!

  13. Somehow it seems too early for Christmas books for me. Then I look at the calendar and panic. ;-)

  20. Enjoy your books! I'm really intrigued by the one about Thoreau. I've always wondered what it would be like to get away from all of the distractions and go to a place like Walden Pond.

  27. I finished Nutcracker yesterday, and I loved it. It wasn't a story I had ever read before, and I'm kicking myself for that lack of foresight. I'm getting ready to start on A Christmas Home, so here's hoping we both like it. Hope you are having a great week.

  28. I'd be curious to hear who they picked to narrate The Panther! They'd have to get someone who fits my idea of John Corey -- I'd know if I heard it. I should go check out a sample on Audible to hear it!
